Often times when preparing a last minute supper, I choose ground beef as the protein. Why? Because it’s easy to thaw and extremely versatile. I can make spaghetti, tacos, shepherds pie, meatloaf, chili, meatballs… the possibilities are endless!
Tonight I decided to make one of our family’s favourite recipes called Taco in a Pan. The recipe for it can be found here. It requires an assortment of toppings that form almost a salad on top of the plate, rice, cheese and seasoned taco beef.
Low and behold, when I reached into the cupboard to add a prepackaged mix, I realized there were none left! I had to create my own. This recipe is simple and I’ve used it countless times. Adjusting the level of spice is as simple as adding more of a potent spice like the chili, cumin or paprika.
Let me know what sorts of recipes include this seasoned taco spice mix!
