Welcome to a new year’s worth of questions! 52 weeks of thought provoking, interesting, creative or practical questions that will challenge you to think outside of the box and document your current thoughts.
The first question is a standard question for the commencement of a new year. It asks:
“What are your goals for the upcoming year?”
Simply put, survival. I am trying to adjust to having two children, and balancing a curious toddler with a newborn baby is challenging. I want to continue to engage with my eldest, as she is a big time mama’s girl, but it’s hard to meet all of her needs while trying to care for her baby brother who requires attention for everything.
In addition to raising my family, I am reopening my home daycare in January which means that I need to begin preparing plans, creating programming and adjusting our schedules to accommodate the additional needs of the children in my care.
I’d also like to return to writing and genealogy, my two favourite past times. Both are on the back burner as of now but I’m hoping once my son is in more of an established routine that I will be able to return to them.
Finally, I want to spark my creativity once again and return to photography. I love taking photos and I’ve neglected my camera for so long it’s covered in dust. My first photo series I want to complete? A mini family session with my kiddos. Thank God for tripods and automatic timers.
