New Journalwithme Questions and Prompts 2019-2020

Another year has come and gone, and here we begin with a new round of Journal with Me questions. These questions can be the beginning of your journaling career. If you’d like a link to last year’s questions, click here.

  1. What are your goals for this upcoming year?
  2. List 25 random facts about yourself.
  3. Describe a terrifying monster.
  4. Describe your perfect tea party. Who would you invite, what would you serve and what topics would you discuss?
  5. List 10 foods that you love. Why?
  6. What is something that irrationally scares you?
  7. What is something from the “Jetson” universe that you would like to see in real life?
  8. What do you feel is the most important subject to teach in school? Which subject do you find redundant?
  9. If you could have twenty minutes alone with the leaders of your country, what would you say to them?
  10. Are you more type A or type B?
  11. Would you rather live close to the water, in the mountains, in the city or in the forest?
  12. What are three pet peeves of yours?
  13. What is your favourite soup and sandwich combo?

  19. What is a skill that you wish you had? Are you willing to work to achieve it? Why or why not?
  20. Name something difficult about your current age.
  21. Are you similar to your parents? What do you have in common? What qualities are the complete opposite?
  22. Describe a time when you got really wild.
  23. Which wonder of the ancient world would you have been most interested to see?
  24. What is your favourite kind of weather?
  25. If you could change one major component of your life, what would change and why?
  26. What time period do you find fascinating? What do you love about it?
  27. What is a meal that reminds you of home? What makes it so special?
  28. Describe your dream vacation destination.
  29. Have you ever drastically changed your view on something? What was it and why did you change?
  30. Have you ever performed in front of an audience? What did you do?
  31. What was your first job?
  32. Pick a random object around you and write about how you acquired it.
  33. Does fame appeal to you?
  34. What are your self care rituals? How do you unwind after a hectic day?
  35. Write a small introduction to a member on your family tree. What made them special?
  36. List 25 things that make you happy.
  37. Is there an article of clothing that has sentimental value to you? What is the memory associated with it?
  38. Are you where you thought you would be when you envisioned your future as a child?
  39. Which language has the coolest accent?
  40. What is your favourite ice cream flavor?
  41. Has there been a time where you were scared for your life? What happened?
  42. Do you have a favourite board game? Why do you enjoy it?
  43. Write a letter to someone who has been a huge support in your life.
  44. Do you have any creative outlets? What inspires you?
  45. What is something that makes you incredibly squeamish? Why?
  46. Are you proud of your nationality? Describe why or why not.
  47. Describe a sad memory.
  48. What is your personal decor style? How would you design your space if you had an unlimited budget?
  49. Do you have a dream career? What is it?
  50. What book did you read over and over again as a child?
  51. If you could eat for free at one restaurant for the rest of your life, what restaurant would it be and why?
  52. What was your biggest accomplishment this year?
