If Money Wasn’t a Problem (Journalwithme#51)

This week’s Journal with Me is focusing on my fantasy life where I can discuss what I would do if money was not a problem. If I had an abundance of money, and I was able to to live financially secure, what would I do with my time?

Honestly, it’s probably the same as what most people would do with a few twists. I would definitely travel more and see all the countries that are on my bucket list. I want to visit every continent. I want to see the world. I want to experience all the different cultures, see all the historic touristy locations that the world has to offer (except Notre Dame, so sad) and enjoy the various foods from around the world.

While traveling, I want to continue seeking out my family history by visiting all the locations where they lived, worked, explored and loved. I want to be able to see the world through their eyes, what they would have experienced and what they would’ve seen. I would hunt down their former home locations, gravestones, workplaces and more. I want to be able to find my family and explore their records in person.

On top of that, I would take my time to finish my own personal obligations that I’ve made to myself. I want to continue my education, achieve the documents that I’ve longed for. I want to be able to wear that cap and gown and be proud of myself for finally putting the years of part time credits and courses to a paper achievement. I want to finish writing the three novels I have on the go, and keep writing my family history book which is forever a work in progress with each new find. I want to be able to enhance my various skills for my hobbies, including photography.

I want to have the freedom to raise my family the way I see fit. I want to be able to take my children on all of my adventures, and expose them to every opportunity I could in the world. I would want to give them family, something I lacked growing up because my family is spread out all over the world. I would want to spend the majority of my time with them because time is precious, and their younger years are years I can never get back.
