Day in My Life (in Photos!)

Follow me around for a day and see what life is like as a pregnant mom chasing after a two year old toddler.

I didn’t get as many photos as I hoped, but I got as many as I could while trying to keep my sanity!

My morning started out nicely. I woke up to my daughter babbling in her crib. She was having a full on conversation with Pablo the penguin in her bed before I went to get her ready. Ignore the monitor’s temperature gage, it’s all wonky.

Breakfast time! She couldn’t make up her mind this morning so we ended up having a whole grain English muffin with butter, some oatmeal with some maple syrup and a bit of brown sugar, and some blueberries and strawberries. Yum! She ate everything.

Coffee time. Mommy’s one coffee of the day. Current creamer is Nestle Coffee Mate in hazelnut.

It was a nice day outside, and since we were daycare child free, we decided to go and run some errands and see some grandmas. I was tipped off by one of my daycare moms about a massive sale at a local thrift store, so naturally that was going to be our first stop. Time to take off our slippers to put on our outside shoes!

Getting ready to leave! Then I realized that I only had a 1/4 tank of gas. Gas station first!

We finally arrived at the thrift store, and were confronted with a large display of kids toys outside. She ran right towards them. Unfortunately we left empty handed!

We ran out of English muffins after breakfast this morning, so we stopped quickly at our local Walmart and picked more up for breakfast tomorrow. Toddler requests!

We visited with one grandma quickly and ran a few more errands (and skinned our knee on the pavement which required a Paw Patrol bandaid!). We ended up at the other grandma’s for lunch. We INSISTED on having another English muffin and nothing else would suffice – until she saw bacon.

After we left from grandma’s, we went home for a nice nap. I got some work done on a genealogy book that I’m currently writing on my personal family history.

I decided to prep some steak for dinner tonight since daddy was going to be home at a reasonable hour to BBQ. A bit of barbecue sauce, minced garlic and steak spice.

We played outside in the yard while we waited for daddy to come home from work. Our current favourite activity? Making “water.” Not soup, water.

Baby girl and daddy having a pre-dinner dance party on the back deck while barbecuing. So cute.

Dinnertime! We went with barbecued baked potatoes, barbecued steak and salad.

Time for bed. After a long day of play, cup of water, tooth brushing, fresh diaper, a thousand books and bedtime prayers, she relaxes in her crib and prepares to sleep.

Time to relax and put my feet up for a while, and work on my blog. Maybe catch some Netflix with my husband before I shower.

Post shower belfie (belly selfie). I’m 29 weeks today! Ready for bed.

I hope you all enjoyed my photo day in the life. Like this post if you want to see more in the future or comment below. Would you guys be interested in an instagram “follow me around” for a day? Let me know!
