This blog post officially marks 100 posts since I began my blog in June of 2018. I am so proud of what I’ve accomplished thus far, and I’m thrilled when I think about future posts regarding all of my favourite topics: motherhood, early childhood education, ancestry, cooking and documenting my life. I have ambitious plans, and I hope that you will all stick around to see them unfold!
I would like to announce a new series that I am currently developing for this website. It has a tentative name: “Mom Views.” The premise of this series? To discover the differences that mothers face when raising their families, how these differences affect their family life and highlighting that we should support one another and embrace the differences in our parenting styles.
I want to continue writing about ancestry, and all things pertaining to it. Ancestry has recently taken a bit of a back burner in my life, and I feel like I’ve hit a lull in my own personal search. As I discover new tips and tactics to uncovering the hidden mysteries of my own family, I will continue to create helpful posts to help you on your family search.
Food has always been a passion for me, and I hope to continue creating and publishing recipes that my family loves. These recipes are influenced by recipes I find in magazines, cookbooks, Pinterest and my own personal family archives. I will link any recipes I decide to try that belong to someone else – even if I modify them! Credit will be given to those who deserve it most. I am by no means a chef, but I love to experiment with different foods and learn new tricks of the trade! Baking is another story. I’m lucky if the baked goods rise.
I am continuing to run my home daycare, and I will continue to post relevant topics surrounding my day job. Art projects, sensory bins, DIY, outdoor activities, children’s book suggestions, home daycare tips, menu ideas and more. I want to help other teachers looking for resources, and I hope to continue developing these resources to archive what I’ve done in the past and to give ideas to others for their future planning.
Journaling will always continue to be a passion for me. I hope that my motivational posts surrounding the topic of documentation will inspire those interested in documenting their lives using different mediums. Photo albums will always be a favourite method. Journaling in paper journals. Jotting down notes about your child’s life in a special book for them. There are so many ideas to document your life and the lives of those most precious to you – it’s so important.
I’m always open to any ideas or questions you may have. I am always up for a little bit of research, and digging through my own knowledge to see if I have any helpful information on any topic you’re curious about. In addition, please drop any ideas for topics in the comments! I always look forward to reading your comments and I try to respond to each one.
Lastly, I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting me. My family who I hope reads this blog from time to time, my personal friends, supporters who discovered me through Facebook, supporters who discovered me through Pinterest, supporters who discovered me through Instagram, and lastly, those who gave me my start: my supporters who discovered me through WordPress. Thank you all so much. I love what I do. Here’s to 100 more posts!
